Heat a medium sized pan with 2 tbsp. olive oil on medium heat.
Add the chopped yellow onion and garlic for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Next, add the shredded jackfruit to the pan and seasonings: salt, pepper, cumin and cayenne pepper.
Stir to fully combine and let cook for about 3 minutes.
Add 3 tbsp. vegetable broth, stir and cover for about 5 minutes.
Add 1 tbsp. barbecue sauce, 1 tbsp. liquid smoke and 1 tbsp. vegan Worcestershire sauce.
Stir to combine and cover for about 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
